Top Reasons To Visit St. Lucia During Jazz Fest
A new year and soon another Jazz festival in St. Lucia. Organizers were extremely impressed with 2019s successful Jazz Fest; they have announced planning is already happening for 2020s festival, which will be held on May 7 through May 9. Already booked are some of the top jazz players in the world, along with numerous local artists. Several venues are already planning for visitors. Breathtaking views are just a few of the reasons to book travel to the Caribbean island.
The Ramp on Rodney Bay and Gros Islet Park are two of the venues, with stellar views that will host some of the Jazz Festival. People from the US, Caribbean, and Canada have started booking tickets and accommodations because they know the secret of St. Lucia’s awesome festival—it is amazing and worth visiting more than once.
The lineup of Jazz professionals includes Chick COrea’s Vigilette, featuring Carlitos DelPuerto, Marcus Gilmore, and an unnamed special guest. Alphonso Horne and the Gotham Kings, Roy Hargrove Celebration with Willie Jones II and Renee Neufville, plus Ruben Fox’s London Brass including Mark Kavuma and Theon Cross will play at the festival. Maher Beauroy presenting WASHA is another attendee.
Details are still being finalized, so more performances, ticket sales, and event information will be announced, as May gets closer. The festival is going to host “Artists in Education” where people can take masterclasses, enjoy live performance collaborations, and obtain professional development through the Saint Lucia School of Music. Students and local artists are already planning their participation.
Hotels will offer deals for those who are attending the Jazz Fest. In years’ past, tickets have been a part of the festival package price through certain hotels. Other locations offer discounts for those who book early and state they are coming for the festival.
