United Airlines Comes to St Lucia
St Lucia continues to attract more tourists and United Airlines from the USA has recognized that. It now offers a new direct service from New York’s Newark airport to Hewannora in St Lucia. United now flies to 17 Caribbean destinations.
The weekly service will be on Saturdays (same day for return flight). United plan to link the service to other routes in and out of Newark with easy connections from other major USA and Canadian cities. The flight leaves Newark at 8.55am, arrives in St Lucia at 1.48pm and the return flight departs at 2.38pm, arriving back in New York at 7.33pm.
The service started on the 13th July and will be offered all year round. This is great news for the St Lucia tourist industry which is becoming more important to the island every day. The other american airlines which fly to St Lucia include Delta, American and JetBlue.
